I wanted Bo Bice to win
So every time I ride the bus (now I bike since the weather is nice and my fake bus pass was stolen) there is a skinny man, in his 40’s or 50’s that sits directly behind the driver. He looks like he is stuck in a time warp from the 50’s. His dark brown hair is cut in an army crew cut style, he wears large round tortoise shell rimed glasses that have the coke bottle lenses that slide off his nose. Occasionally he will place his index finger on the bridge to push them back up. He wears a plain navy blue canvas jacket, Levi’s’ and old school generic skate shoes. He sits on the edge of the seat so he can watch out the front window and holds his brown paper bag lunch like a chipmunk. Delicately his long fingers grasp the top of the bag and he holds it in front of his chest never letting it touch his lap. He sometimes has outburst and starts swatting at the back of his head as if there were a swarm of bees around. He grunts loudly trying to say something but one can never quite make it out. He is in his own world. Never talks or makes eye contact with anyone. I always wondered where he was coming from and where he going the same time everyday. I get off at a stop before him so I never knew where he was headed. That is until I was at the library on my lunch break and as I was perusing the music I heard a familiar noise. I poked my head around the bookshelf and there he was restocking books! HE WORKS AT THE LIBRAIRY! After 8months the mystery has been solved!
So I got Dance, Dance, Dance by Haruki Murakami. I just can’t get enough of his books. I just read what Hiromi said about him and I’d have to agree. Somehow there is a connection between his characters and me. I can’t explain it. All I know is I want to read more! Haha I had something else to say but I can’t remember now.
