Another night sadly down the drain. I work all the time so I look forward to my evenings to have fun with my friends. But people are lame and are forgetting about me, they are out of town, or are moving. It’s kinda depressing. Katie is in Wisconsin for a few weeks. all the boys went to Fort Collins. Negretie told me to come but 1. I don’t have a car in my possession 2. I feel like I would be imposing. Ehh whatever. I was planning on going to a friend’s house warming party up in the foothills, but of course Eliza decides to not go because she is “baking” and again I don’t have a vehicle to get myself up the mountain. Mary is leaving me. She is moving on Tuesday to Indiana so she is packing. Bodie is not answering his phone. I’m getting sick of being by myself. I have envisioned my last summer here to be quite different than it’s panning out to be. I mean it’s not horrible but I wish it were different. I’m really getting sick of “Me time”. I’m only going to be here for another month and a half, and the way things are going time is going fly and before you know it I’ll be out of here.

So I took some days of at the begging of July. 5 to be exact. I excited to have the time off but I need to figure out what I’m going to during that time! …….something fun. I found another card while cleaning. This one is from Bodie. It’s kinda hard to see sorry. It’s a bunny pooping out eggs and me poping put of the easter egg naked. He gets upset because he is jewish and doen’t get to hunt for eggs. haha

Sometimes it’s nice to have a day to yourself. I wasn’t feeling it today. I just wanted to hang out with some one, but no one wanted to hang out with me. (They had stuff to do or are out of town ect, ect…) So I went up to the hill to buy some film for my new Spartus! haha lets see if this thing works. But I don’t have an extra roll so I’m going to have to find one before I start taking pictures. I then went to work to make some FREE copies! I’m trying to make a travel book for a friend. I’m scared it won’t get finished. I just have high expectations for what I want it to look like. Too much work for too little time. Ihee!
I stopped at the library for a bit and then went and hung around Pearl Street for awhile. Watched some of the street performers, which I don’t normally do since I have seen them a million trillion times, but I thought why not, it’s entertaining and I don’t want to be at home. I made a stop at the post office while I was down there to mail my gas and electricity bill. As I was walking around found a traveler’s cafe, which was really cool. I wondered if people who went there were really travelers. Then I noticed a few people around me speaking in a Nordic language. I bought some cropped linen pants and a new Haruki Murakami book to hold me over until HARRY POTTER is out!!! I reserved my copy. I’m so excited. I love Boulder in the summer. I’m going to miss this place so much and of course my friends too. I then rode around not really knowing my destination when finally I decided to go see Chris at the bike shop. I then had to ride home in the rain. I love the smell of rain on hot pavement.

So my parents put the house on the market. We had a cleaning lady come yesterday to clean the place and I must say it looks nice. The trouble now is to keep it this way. She was here for 9 hours. My parents are coming to down to look at it tomorrow. Now I have to be conscious about what I leave out, and make my bed so when the realtors show the house, it will look nice.

Oh update haha I went on a date with that photographer from the wedding. Lets just say it was interesting. I would elaborate more but I’m afraid he might read it. Which he probably won’t because he doesn’t know I have blog, but…….what if? Then again if he does he will know I’m not interested. AT ALL!

I’m addicted to “Mood Menders” (which is the name my local coffee shop coins it.) Steamed Soy with tea! Yum. I have gotten everyone else addicted to it too! It’s quite funny.
So in preparation for moving in August I thought I would start going through some stuff now so when the time comes to packing, HOPEFULLY it will be a little easier. On my purging spree I have found so many things that I forgot I had or didn’t even know I kept. They just keep getting shuffled about from move to move. I found this postcard

that Harper sent me back in ’99 I think. This bronze jiggy jiggy statue from Ghana. A stack of water bags also from Ghana, my old journal from High school. Man is that funny. I would post some entries but I’m kind of embarrassed.

This weekend was fun. Friday I spent the day sewing a top and a ring bearer pillow for a friends wedding. That night I went out to the Rio and had a few margaritas and saw my friend Meghan that I went to Pre-school with. So crazy, Both red heads, Both named Meg(h)an. I then went to a rehearsal dinner/party and decided to leave when I came to realize I was the youngest one there. None of my other friends showed up! It normally doesn’t bother me but I wasn’t feeling it. So I went back down to Pearl to hang with my friends and had a good time.

The next morning I was procrastinating as always, but at least I wasn’t the only one. Mary was in the same boat I was. It’s the day of our friend Adjei, and Kari’s wedding and neither of us had bought a present yet. So we dash off to the store to buy something, but of course everything on their registry is already taken care of. NOTHING! So we were left to our imagination to figure something out to get them. We made them a gift basket. Kinda cheesy I know but we were in a bind.

I went home, took a nap and got ready to go. The wedding was so much fun. A little bit of African mixed with a traditional wedding ceremony. Lots of drumming, dancing, tasty food, music, and all around good fun. Except for those pesky mosquitoes! I’m itching all over. It took place at this beautiful farm by Lyons. SO SO beautiful! and I got asked out by the photographer. he seems nice

Today the fam came down for fathers day. We BAR –B- QED. Tasty. Then I went to an African dance class with Mary. It was so much fun. I miss it. Dancing that is. I love how it’s all about the booty, makes me feel better about mine. It felt good to get back into it. After class, Mary and I went to Mahway’s(sp?) to cook some Ghanaian grub. SO GOOD!!! I think I ate too much. Actually I know I ate too much. Now it’s hot and I have to go to bed. I HATE sleeping when I’m hot. It’s so uncomfortable.

It’s almost 1 am. I went out Connors to see Maniskus play. They are really awesome but I was bored at the same time. SO I left my friend Bodie and now I’m at home WANTING TO DO SOMETHING FUN!!!!! I hate situations like this.

So I’m not doing my work like I should. We have this computer here in the frame shop that has our framing program on it. I’ve worked here for almost a year and had no idea it had internet access. I knew it did at one point but I thought that it no longer worked. I was bored and thought I would give it a shot! It works ! WAHHAHAHA!!! So now i’m dinking around on the computer becasue I don’t want to go back upstairs. I guess I could do some more dry mounts. I love opening it up and feeling the rush of warmth on my arms. it’s so nice. But I don’t want to work. Eeeee……..Few…..that was a close one. I almost got caught. I think my face just turned bright red. Gotta go. yikes

I’m sitting here drinking my green tea and soymilk. (it does wonders for the skin) I just got back from watching Harold and Maude. I love that movie, it’s so great! Today I just cleaned out the garage and got some things together for our garage sale that we are having in few weeks. Hopefully I can make some dough for NY. Oh yeah for those of you that don’t know I’m moving to the Big Apple in August. If you have any tips on moving or finding places to live let me know!! It’s GREATLY appreciated.

Do you ever have those times when your thoughts in your mind take over and they just start manifesting in to bigger things. That’s been happening to me. Being alone = I’m daydreaming too much = crazy ideas.

Here is a thought I had today. I think 97% of my friends are guys. Weird! It was nice to hang out with the girls tonight. I think I needed it.
